Evensong returns for 2020

Evensong returns on Sunday 08th March at 6.00pm. Sung by the amazing St John's Consort under the direction of Michael Fulcher.

Come find a place of solace and quiet in a world full of noise.

The service of Evensong an ancient service of quiet thoughtfulness and musical meditation.

Under the Direction of Michael Fulcher

Evensong enlarges the heart and is 'shatteringly and utterly gorgeous'. Evensong is a perfect way to end the day and start the week

Evensong is being held at St John's Camberwell on the second Sunday of each month at 6.00pm.

All are welcome to attend this wonderful evening, invite your friends

Ash Wednesday

Lent begins this year on 26th February. Begin your Lenten discipline by attending one of the two services in the Parish on that day - both with Imposition of Ashes.

Services are at 12.00 noon or 6.00pm, with choir. Parish Lenten studies will begin on Wednesday 04th March with further details to follow.

Bach's St John Passion

Join us at St John's Camberwell on Sunday 22nd March 2020 at 4.00pm  for a moving performance of Bach's majestic Saint John Passion, featuring

Robert MacFarlane - Evangelist,

Amelia Jones - Soprano,

Ron Morris - Alto,

Timothy Reynolds - Tenor

Andrew Fysh - Bass,

together with the remarkable 'Polyphonic Voices', accompanied by the Melbourne Baroque Orchestra.

The conductor will be Michael Fulcher.

A moving and inspiring experience during Lent

 

 

St John's Camberwell French Service

You are welcome to attend our meetings in French on the 1st Sunday of each month from 2.00pm to 3.00pm.

Sub-titled in English. The first service will be held on 1st March 2020. Bible activities are planned for children attending.

If you prefer bible study in a smaller group we meet every Thursday evening from 7.30pm- 9.00pm.

Studies are translated into English and take place in a friendly atmosphere.

We also organize a playgroup in French on Wednesday mornings from 10.00am - 11.30 am.

The program includes games, manual activities, songs and story telling with snacks and tea and coffee for parents.

Finally the French Book Club on the last Sunday of each month. Reading from apress artical or short story taken from the 13 table editions published to support Restos du Coeur.
